In addition to a large number of innovative exhibits and innovative applications as well as an extensive supporting program, visitors to the “ConCarExpo 2017“ can actively participate in numerous program events. The various action areas offer trade fair visitors the opportunity to test new mobility concepts, such as autonomous vehicles, E-skateboards or networked bicycles. In the Usability and Experience HUB, visitors can test and evaluate the latest digital features in the car. At the ConCar Forum, specialists will discuss trends and prospects for the future.

In the Car-Pavilion, visitors can experience and touch the latest developments in the automotive industry. The Swiss car maker Rinspeed presents his concept vehicle OASIS, which not only runs autonomously, but also conceals playful details like a flower bed or a warm-holding compartment in the interior.

Another highlight is presented by Ibeo Automotive Systems and Local Motors with OLLI, their fully-automatic shuttle bus. The demonstration takes place along a predefined route on the exhibition ground. Trade fair visitors are invited to enter and exit at several designated stops.

The trade fair and accompanying conferences will be opened with a speech by Johann Jungwirth, Chief Digital Officer at Volkswagen AG at the ConCar Forum. In addition, the ConCar Forum offers visitors the opportunity to participate in stimulating lectures and discussions. Among the participants are leading industry representatives such as Volkswagen, Volvo, Uber, Microsoft, Tuxera, Foreca, and many others. Following the first series of lectures, a panel discussion on "Technology as a driver and enabler of Smart Mobility Solutions" will take place. Participants include Middlesex UK, Ridecell, free2move, Drivy, Keolis and The Urban Institute.

The Start-up Area with its own forum offers exhibiting young companies the opportunity to present and discuss their innovations on the subject of networked vehicles. In addition to a lecture program, the start-ups have the opportunity to present their business models within a 10-minute slot. Following, they are judged by a jury consisting of representatives from TomTom, Porsche and Microsoft. The two best innovations will receive an award on the second day of the fair.

At the ConCarExpo Hackathon, young IT development teams create innovative solutions for different areas of mobility. After 24 hours, the results will be presented on the stage of the Start-up Area and the best among them will be awarded.

The visitors of the test-track "first & last Mile" -solutions will experience the specific functions of networked wheels. On a course, they are invited to test the smart bikes and other brand new mobility solutions, such as E-Skateboards or E-Micro Scooters.
