Mechanism Design and Machine Elements

In machines, plants and vehicles, transmission mechanisms convert torques and movements. Power transmission in vehicles, power stations or wind power plants, the design of motion sequences in handling and assembly technology or the control of the functional sequences for packing systems are all unthinkable without transmission mechanisms.


No matter whether they’re gear transmissions and continuously variable transmissions for uniform transmission, articulated and cam transmissions for non-uniform transmission or hydraulic, electric or mechanical power transmissions – the correct dimensioning, the correct choice of materials and the high-quality manufacture of the individual elements ensure the economic use of the transmission mechanisms in daily operation.

The integration of sensors and actuators allows efficient and intelligent transmission systems for use in all branches of industry to be produced with the help of suitable hardware and software modules.
