AGMA “2017 Fall Technical Meeting”, October 22-24, 2017, USA
Gears remain an essential component of today’s machines, making industry innovation fundamental to the rise of modern mechanical technology. Therefore, it is crucial that engineers have an opportunity to communicate ideas with other experts in the field. AGMA’s annual Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) is the perfect forum in which to share this cutting-edge research and to disperse knowledge for the benefit of the industry.
Each year, authors selected by AGMA write peer-reviewed technical papers on topics relevant to the gear industry. These topics of interest may include subject matter related to the following: design and analysis; manufacturing and quality; materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment; operation, maintenance, and efficiency; and gear failure. The authors then have the opportunity to present the results of their work at the Fall Technical Meeting to an audience of knowledgeable engineering professionals from the United States and around the world. During a question and answer period at the end of each session, authors and attendees are able to exchange their ideas. We encourage gear industry experts and professionals to submit a paper. Papers should be on relevant technical subjects, original to the AGMA audience (not a paper that has been previously published in its submitted form), technically accurate, and free of commercialism.
- It is recommended that authors of selected papers begin early in obtaining any required company approvals for submitting and presenting a paper at FTM, visa applications, and travel expenses.
- For your paper to be considered for publication and presentation at the FTM, you must first submit an abstract to AGMA.
- The submission process for this event will take place entirely online.
Complete instructions for speaker and paper presentation will be provided upon notification of an abstract’s acceptance. If you have not received a notification email informing you of your Abstract acceptance/rejection status by February 7, 2017, please notify AGMA at email@example.com.
