| Abstract: | The guideline specifies the commonly used methods for failure analysis of plastic products, outlines their operational principles and uses examples to determine what properties can be characterised by using these methods. The guideline also gives examples of practical applications in failure analysis. However, information about the underlying mechanisms of failures should be extracted from the repective parts of the series of guidelines VDI 3822. |
