| Abstract: | The guideline applies to the operation and maintenance of VAC installations and VAC equipment (centralised as well as decentralised). It targets in particular cost groups 430 through 434 and 439 as per DIN 276. It does not apply to household equipment as specified in the German Law on the Safety of Equipment and Products. The guideline offers the owner and operator of installations recommendations for the safe, specified and economic operation of VAC installations. It specifies the basis of maintenance and describes the maintenance activities and defines terms which, together with the terms defined in DIN EN 13306, are necessary for understanding the interactions. Where VAC installations or parts thereof are not used as specified during a certain period, technically and hygienically proper operation will require preventative as well as restoration measures. These are described as well. |
