Technical Division 2 Nanoscale Engineering

Technical Division 2 Nanoscale Engineering

The VDI Technical Division Nanoscale Engineering focuses on targeted knowledge transfer via the establishment of highly qualified networks and expert forums, the elaboration of VDI Standards and intensive public relations work with the aim of promoting the development of marketable products in Germany.

Nanoscale engineering with its various branches is an interdisciplinary technology. It makes other technologies more efficient and finds its applications in a number of fields ranging from medicine and chemistry to automotive engineering.

The interdisciplinary character of nanoscale engineering requires close contact with the engineering sciences, chemistry, physics, biology and medicine. Close cooperation with domestic and foreign networks is expressly intended and has already been established for mutual benefit in a number of fields.
